During his speech to the Dar-Es-Salaam elders on 13th February 2016, President Dr. John Pombe Magufuli pledged to contribute part of his salary towards supporting universal free education endeavours in Dar-Es-Salaam Region which has been hit by an influx of students. This is after the 5th phase Government decided to make primary school education free. The influx has brought about challenges of insufficient class rooms, desks and even books in some schools.
To support President Dr. John Pombe Magufuli Endeavour’s TATOA would like to request all our members to support this gesture as initiated by the President. Members are requested to voluntary contribute to a fund created by the association for this purpose. Contributions collected will be used to support the Government’s efforts in purchasing education essentials such as desks, books and also help in the construction of classes by donating construction materials. Apart from the support to the education sector the association will also support Government’s efforts in supporting the health sector in areas of hospital beds, mattresses and other essentials pertaining to health services. All companies that will contribute towards this fund will be recognized and their names submitted to the Government as an appreciation for their good deed. They will also be invited to participate in the handing over exercise should they wish to do so. Certificates of appreciation will be given.
